The Making of Our Planet with Elisabeth Oakham

Step into the breathtaking world of Our Planet in this special big-screen talk, featuring highlights from the acclaimed Netflix documentary, with expert insights, and behind-the-scenes footage from natural history producer Elisabeth Oakham.

With over fifteen years of experience in filmmaking, Elisabeth has collaborated with major broadcasters and streamers such as National Geographic, BBC and Netflix; contributing to their first natural history commission, Our Planet. Her career has taken her across the globe, capturing extraordinary wildlife moments— from wolves and whales in the Arctic to orchids and elephants in the tropics.

At The Making of Our Planet, Elisabeth will take us behind the scenes of Frozen Worlds, sharing the challenges of filming in some of the harshest environments on Earth. From the dramatic calving of a gigantic iceberg to the threats posed by fossil fuel exploration in the Arctic, she’ll explore how climate change is impacting the creatures that call these icy landscapes home, followed by a live Q&A.

Join us as we follow caribou, wolves, walruses, and penguins in their frozen Edens— brought to you by the adventurers and filmmakers who, like the polar explorers before them, have returned to share why this fragile frontier is vital for the planet’s future.
